Peerscription Plans

Post Traumatic Fresh Peerscription Plans seek to remove barriers to care and intervene in treatment for issues related to trauma, substance use, mental health and chronic health conditions. While there are prescriptions and procedures that may alleviate symptoms of stress and other diagnosis there are no pharmaceutical solutions that treat post traumatic stress. Ultimately we need positive relations, access to care and natural medicine, and skills. Negative relationships, community harm and oppression, inaccessible care and an inability or refusal to acknowledge our bodily and social conditions continues to cause harm. Utilizing mindfulness, natural healing, body-work, personal interests, resourcing and visioning we create a Peerscription plan tailored to your needs and accessibility.

Process

  • If you want to move forward the first step is your letter of intent. This only need to be a one or two page letter stating your intent, commitment and availability, and needs. After your letter of intent is reviewed you will receive communication on next steps.

  • After you have submitted your letter of intent and PTF is able to support you, the next step is an intake form. This is a long questionnaire that may bring up negative thoughts or feelings and asks for honesty and vulnerability in order to create the best Plan for you. Take your time and increase your self care and intentions during and after completing the form. Once you have completed the intake form you will a receive an email with instructions on proceeding, scheduling, and follow up tips.

  • During your consultation we will review your application and discuss your situation, context, goals and access or barriers to care you may have. The consultation is a 60-90 minute session. After the consultation you will receive your written Peerscription Plan.

  • Peerscription Plans are written in 30-60-90 day increments. Depending on your situation and needs modifications and check-ins may be incorporated into your plan. Plans take into account current medications, barriers, diagnosis, and environments. Plans should not replace other forms of therapy or treatment but augment and intervene in myopic or insufficient trauma care.

  • Follow ups can be scheduled along your 30-60-90 day Peerscription. Meetings are intended to support your growth, account and response ability on your healing journey. Follow ups are 30 minute sessions and include a check in and review of your plan.

  • After you have been on a plan for a cycle or more you may wish to re-evaluate your plan more thoroughly than a follow up. Perhaps you met some goals, symptoms changed, or you hit some bumps in the road and need a deeper reevaluation of your situation and treatment. Refill Consultations are scheduled for one hour.

  • As your plan ends you may wish to set some intentions and share the impact and experiences of your post traumatic journey. Discharge meetings provide space to set intentions, reflect, discuss, and ritualize your healing.
